You FLIR K1 may be due for an upgrade.

The K1 includes a USB-C port in the top compartment. The USB port allows the user to update the System firmware by first downloading an update file from the FLIR website and then connecting the K1 to a PC to transfer the file.

FLIR K1 Update Pack 1.1.1

To update your camera firmware to this version, download and unzip the file (link provided below), then install it according to the included instructions.

The link will include a guide that describes how to update the camera firmware for the FLIR K1 series camera. If you are not confident that you can complete the update successfully, the update can be done by a FLIR Service representative.

Improvements:

  • Added 2nd source Visual camera support.
  • Key lock feature (disabled by hold return key)
  • Factory GUI – change from Return key to down key.

Important note:

The camera may be damaged if power is interrupted during the update. Do not turn off the camera, or remove or disconnect the power source. If the update is not completed successfully and the camera becomes inoperable, the camera has to be sent to a FLIR service representative.
