2019 Volunteer Welfare and Efficiency Survey – NSW RFSA

The VFFA supports of any initiative that gives volunteer firefighters a voice. You may have your own views about the lack of advocacy, so it is important that we seize all opportunities to highlight inefficiencies in the support of our volunteers.

Many NSW Volunteer Firefighters took part in last year’s national Volunteer Welfare and Efficiency Survey, they are now invited to once again participate in the 2019 survey by clicking the button at the bottom of this post.

The annual survey began with the CFA volunteers’ association, Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria (VFBV) eight years ago, and now for the fourth year, VFBV is hosting a version on behalf of NSW Rural Fire Service Association (RFSA). Once again, the survey is available to volunteer fire associations through the Council of Australian Volunteer Fire Associations (CAVFA).

You can also by spreading the word and encouraging other volunteers to respond to this survey – the more responses, the more impact the results will have, so please encourage other volunteers to take part, they have until October 14 to take part at www.vfbv.com.au/rfsasurvey2019.php

All responses are confidential and will be analysed externally to RFSA who will be provided with aggregated results. RFSA will utilise survey results to advocate on behalf of volunteers. In addition, CAVFA will be able to utilise the national results of the collective survey responses to advocate and promote issues on behalf of all fire service volunteers.
