The Volunteer Fire Fighters Association (VFFA) is being flooded with offers of support and assistance.

The VFFA has received many inquiries from people who are wanting to:

  1. donate money,
  2. donate food and water, and
  3. provide logistical support and assistance.

The following information is provided for anyone who wishes to support firefighters or the firefighting effort in NSW:

  1. Financial Assistance
  2. Food and Water
    • Approach a Brigade member directly to identify the location of a staging area that can safely be approached by members of the public. Please remember that these people may be very busy and under stress at various times.
    • Approach or contact a Fire Control Centre directly to identify a logistics site or staging area that can be accessed by the public. Please remember that these people may be very busy and under stress at various times.
  3. Logistical Support and Assistance
    • Approach or contact a Fire Control Centre directly to identify potential support and assistance options. Please remember that these people may be very busy and under stress at various times, they may also direct you to other organisations who are providing logistical support.

If you bump into a firefighter, a kind word to thank that person for their service goes a long way.The VFFA wishes to thank everyone for their service and support, we can get through this difficult time if we all work together.
