Many volunteers took part in last year’s national Volunteer Welfare and Efficiency Survey, and the NSW Rural Fire Service Association (RFSA) is inviting NSW RFS members to once again participate in the 2018 survey.
The annual survey began with the CFA volunteers’ association, Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria (VFBV) five years ago, and now for the third year, VFBV is hosting a version on behalf of RFSA. Once again the survey is available to volunteer fire associations through the Council of Australian Volunteer Fire Associations (CAVFA).
Although the Volunteer Fire Fighters Association (VFFA) is excluded from the CAVFA, we support any initiative to provide a voice for all volunteer fire fighters.
We can all help by spreading the word and encouraging other volunteers to respond to the survey – the more responses, the more impact the results will have, so please encourage other volunteers to take part.
All responses are confidential and will be analysed externally to RFSA who will be provided with aggregated results. RFSA have stated that they will utilise survey results to advocate on behalf of volunteers and the CAVFA will be able to utilise the national results of the collective survey responses to advocate and promote issues on behalf of all fire service volunteers.
Please complete this survey as soon as possible and no later than close of business on Monday, 22 October 2018.
