On this occasion, a volunteer firefighter reported a damaged phone, completed the claim form and submitted it to their local Fire Control Centre (FCC).
The volunteer said:
I damaged my phone whilst on the fire ground and the repair cost was $229.50.
I put a claim through the local FCC and blow me down with in a week I received the attached letter from the insurers.
