RED Friday Organization (or is it Organisation)
Before any Aussies pick me up on my spelling, they spell organization with a “Z”, but they do know a thing or two about empowering Military, First Responders and their communities with the education, tools and training to recognise, and respond to psychological injury caused by stressful experiences on the job.
You have seen our firefighters battling the bushfires on the news. Now, some of our these brave men and women have another battle to fight against PTSD and other forms of Operational Stress Injury.
Through funding campaigns, the RED Friday Organization is stepping up to help safeguard the mental health of our Firefighters.
The following video may help to shed some light on the current situation:
One of the RED Friday Organization funding campaigns includes the sale of the RAD caps. RAD stands for Remember Australians Deployed.
Click HERE to visit the online store where the RAD caps can be purchased. $5 from each RAD cap sold goes to support Australian Firefighters’ mental wellness.
The VFFA will work directly with RED Friday Organization and a range of local services to ensure that any funds raised are directed to programs of support. We will use this web site and our social media platforms to keep you informed.
Please support RED Friday Organization. You can find them at redfriday.org
The VFFA would especially like to thank the Volunteer Firefighter Association of British Columbia for their support of the RED Friday’s RAD cap campaign, our Brothers and Sisters in arms.
